Internet Headaches = No New Videos

Hello! And much love to anyone who is reading this! I am exhausted. I've had quite a busy few days. I just had my first day of work for the summer and I've got a huge list of things I need to do at home as well.

If anyone's been on my youtube channel you'll see that I was complaining about Bell Internet (If you're not interested just skip this paragraph). For the past two months we've had family staying with us (including a tween & a teen). So, we're using a lot more internet than we usually would. Two months ago we blindly paid the bill (making the mistake of trusting Bell). Last month's bill came and I was the one who noticed that there was a 60$ overage charge. I called and spoke to a woman named Ketty in the "Household Resolution Centre" who was a huuuuuge bitch. She basically told me if I was trying to get a credit it "wasn't going to happen" and that she was sorry but we can add more gigs if I wanted. Previously being with Rogers, they warn you on your browser when you're approaching your limit. I repeatedly told her no, I didn't want to spend more money, I just wanted to know why I wasn't warned. She tells me that they don't tell customers how much they're using due to "privacy", but if you sign up for it online they will send you an email once you've reached a certain point (choice of 50, 75, 90). The woman didn't even try to offer any kind of customer service. she even yelled at me multiple times. I kept telling her this isn't personal but this isn't good customer service, she needs to calm down for which she said "I AM CALM!". Ridiculous. I hope they fire her. Anyways, since I'm not the account holder I couldn't talk to anyone above her (she was a "supervisor" she said). Once my mom came home, she verified herself and told them to deal with me. After which a woman from Customer Resolution was extremely nice and tried to help me reduce my bill. I'm still not sure, I might switch my services to Rogers depending on what they can offer me! It was really an annoying experience and that woman enraged me so much, I really hope she gets fired. I've been in customer service for years and it's not about the problem...it's about trying to find a solution.

Anyways, in the end. I can't upload any new videos for a few days! It's very annoying. But I'm looking to start off the summer well.

Anyways, I should really be sleeping I've got to be up early for work.

Update

This weekend was my birthday so I was really busy with family. Unfortunately my little cousin got sick and got everyone else in my house sick, so I've been recovering. I'm feeling better today so I'll definitely be working on a video and/or some posts.

I'm done this semester!

I'm so incredibly happy, I had my last exam this afternoon. For my favorite class of course, Makeup Applications. I was up all night, so I ended up crashing about an hour after I got home.

I'm so excited to get to work on videos, I feel like I haven't done one in forever!

BUT here's what I'm debating right now...should I transfer all my posts into tumblr and use that as my blog? Or should I keep blogspot? I feel like nobody ever comes here lol.

Well I'm going to go get some opinions. Look out for more videos VERY SOON!

EXAMMMSS!

Hey everyone! I'm going through my Skin Care class notes and it all became blurry so I thought I'd take a little break and blog. I think I have to do more videos on skin care! It's something so important and that goes hand in hand with make up, that I think I should talk about it more! I currently have two Skin Care videos though: My Skin Care Routine (which is specifically for Oily, Blemish Prone Sensitive Skin), there is some important information in there for all skin types though and a Skin Care Basics video, where I just went through some Skin Care information. I'll try to make one soon so all the information is fresh in my mind!

Wow OVERDUE!

Hey everyone, so I've been quite busy with school and haven't even thought about blogging lately. I've tried and failed to make videos a few times but I'm sooo busy and stressed out. Exams start on Friday so I'll be disappearing again, deep into my books until it's over. By then it'll be my birthdayyyyy (yay!).

Foundation

I always see a lot of questions about foundation online. Here's my advice to you if you're not sure what you want or are looking for a new foundation. Find a Make Up Artist! It's always better to be safe than sorry. Go to any Make Up Counter or Drug Store etc. and let them know what you're looking for.

You should be prepared with three things:
1) What kind of skin do you think you have? (Dry, Combo, Oily etc.)
2) What kind of coverage do you want? Where/When will you be wearing this? (Light, Medium, Full)
3) What kind of finish would you like? (Matte, Dewey/Satin, Semi-Matte)


You're not required to buy! You can even ask them to try a foundation for you and wear it for the day and see how you like it.

Soooooo...it's crunch time! I've got less than a month left in the semester and lots to do. HOWEVER....that does not give me an excuse to neglect my blog and youtube! Unfortunately I cannot film with any daylight, at least not today. So hopefully I'll be able to film and post something very soon.

Skin Tones & Colors!!

Hey everyone,

We're all different (of course)! I personally feel like all colors can work on everyone, just that you would have to adjust how to use it to your skin tone/coloring etc. However, there are some colors that just look better on you than others.

Here's kind of a guide to what colors compliment your skintone versus some that may work against you!

Red
Wear Blue, Brown, Beige, Mauve, Pastels, Neutrals

Yellow
Wear Brown, Neutrals, Brown, Beige, Blue, Pinks, Oranges

Olive
Wear Brown, Beige, Blue, Orange, Mauve, Pastels

Ivory
Red, Orange, Bright Yellow

Ebony
Pastels, Orange, Yellow, Green, Mauve, BRIGHT Red!

Warm & Cool Coloring

Why does it matter if you're warm or cool?
It helps you pick colors for makeup and clothing and even jewelery that compliment your skintone and helps you look more vibrant and beautiful!

How do you know if you're warm or cool? It's pretty easy! There are a few different ways to do this.

1) Take a pink piece of cloth/tshirt etc. and a peach piece of cloth/tshirt etc. Place one over the other on your chest. Now take off the top piece. Go back and forth and compare how you feel your skin tone looks. Which makes you look healthier? Which makes you look better in general? If the pink is your choice, then you are cool. If the peach is, then you are warm! Easy enough!

2) This second method isn't my favorite but it's doable! Grab two of your biggest necklaces. One in gold and one in silver. Now compare them against your neck and decided which you like better. Gold = Warm, Silver = Cool. I don't like this method as much because the clothing you are wearing at the time will affect your decision.

3) Last but not least. In daylight, take a look at your veins on the inside of your wrists. Are they blue toned or green toned? Blue = Cool, Green = Warm.

My Weekend

So I love to procrastinate!

Friday was uneventful I just wanted to rest. Saturday was pretty hectic but I went over to a friend's to do her makeup for a party she was going to. Then went to a friend's house for some drinks and such, ended up getting home at about 5am with the time change! Today I went to the Estee Lauder sale in Markham and picked up a few things. Things have gotten too expensive there! It used to be so cheap! I'll make a video of what I got soon.

Now, I've got to buckle down and work on this assignment! Wish me luck!

Here is how I take care of my skin. Although my moisturizer does not contain SPF, I do apply a primer with SPF50. I forgot to include my eye cream but I'll make a short video for that seperately. The information provided here is scientific fact :)

How To Apply Bronzer

Here's the proper way to apply bronzer. Essentially you're going to apply it where the sun would naturally hit your face. This technique will make you look like a sun kissed goddess! It's much more natural!

So here's my little video on some basic contouring and highlighting. Where you highlight and contour all depends on your face shape as well as your eyes and nose.
